In celebration of my birthday month, the time has finally come to have my very first giveaway. I will run this beginning today and end it December 21. You may enter as many times as you want between now and December 21. The winner will be announced on my blog at noon Central time December 22. Be sure to check to see if you're the lucky lady (or man...lol)!! The set I am putting in this month's giveaway is "Fragile". For those of you who have seen it in a prior post, you'll recall this set is all glass beads and organza ribbon and goes for $48.

Design of the Day - Silky Tube Scarf

This scarf is so fun and simple to make. I love the print and what it can add to an outfit. I like it with this simple black dress but when I wore it last week I paired it with a black satin blouse and it looked fabulous as I had it doubly wrapped for extra fullness. Sorry I don't have any pictures of that look but I'm sure you can picture it. I do make these to sell as well. Pricing usually depends on the fabric being used. This scarf would be $20. This is something that makes a great Christmas gift as well.

As I was making today's design the first thing that came to mind is the black and white scheme of dominoes. I wanted to post this set, although I plan to keep it for myself. There aren't many pieces I keep but I really like this set and have the perfect outfit (well maybe quite a few) that would look fabulous accessorized with this it. If anyone is interested in this set, it can be replicated but there will be very few of them available. The price for the set is $30. Individual pricing is below the picture.

I think by looking at today's design it's quite obvious how it got its name. With the weather turning cold this reminds me that warmer days will be here again :) The beads are all glass and the pendant is a painted shell. The set goes for $40. Individual pricing is below the picture.

Today marks the first piece of my apparel to ever be posted. In my opinion, there is nothing better than beautiful winter white outwear. This cape is made of a soft fleece that washes extremely well. I love this cape and I hope you all do too. By the way, I made the scarf as well. You may have noticed the scarf previously worn on the picture in the right hand column of my blog. Its extra long style is very versatile and adds a sexy splash of elegance to the proper attire. I look forward to your comments!

Although I don't wish for an ice storm, today's design (made of all glass beads) has been named as such due to the cold winter that is fast approaching and the fact that the beads look like real ice. Today's design some would say is inspired by the fight againist heart disease in women. While I believe that is a worthy cause for inspiration, that isn't from where I obtained mine for this simple set. Lately, I have been hearing so many stories about women and the drama of life. However, those women are still standing and standing strong! Therefore, this set has been named in honor of those women who have dealt wth situations from which they thought there was no way out and for the women who are making great things happen for themselves and their families. Besides, there's nothing better than a spunky red dress! The set goes for $28.

The name for today's design was inspired by none other than the Black Dahlia, the late Elizabeth Short. She loved to wear black and was known for wearing a flower in her hair. The rhinestones in the center of the flower pendant add the necessary 'Hollywood bling' to this simple yet elegant piece.

Today's piece has a pendant that is in some ways mysterious in my opinion. The curvature of the black glass and the splashes of shimmer color give it a dark, secretive look. I hope you all like this.

Although I am a silver/platinum type of lady, I couldn't ignore the fact that gold is still a valuable friend of mine as well :) Add a little chocolate to it and this is what you get. This was a special request by a customer after she saw the black and silver of the same design. I have to admit I do like the earthy tones. Let me know what you think!

I'm sure by looking at today's design you can see why it was named "Mardi Gras". When I saw these beads the first thing I thought of was all the colors that are associated with Mardi Gras. This is another versatile set, in my opinion. With all the colors this set could go with just about anything!

This was a very fun project and I was so amazed with how it turned out. This is a flower ring made from Japanese seed beads for the band and Swarovski crystals for the flower. My mother actually tried to take this when she was visiting :) For those interested in purchasing this particular ring, it can be customized to fit your taste in color and size. This ring goes for $15.

Today's design was inspired by the piece I made as a gift to my mother earlier this year (see 'Jewelry' tab) which was all silver with a pearl pendant. The name comes from the fact that it is two-toned with silver and gold which gives it more versatility to wear with silver- or gold-toned clothing. I used the rhinestone accents to give it a little more bling and to help bring out the silver that lies in the middle of the gold rings. This piece was a little more time consuming but I am very happy with the result.
